PARENTS/COACHES:
Palmetto Region has a NO-TOLERANCE policy on screaming, yelling, or making any
derogatory remarks to ANY official ( Up ref, down ref, or line judges). Keep in
mind.. they are human.. and most of the time they are kids. Penalty is immediate
dismissal from gym, no warning. Region teams may face sanction to participate in
future tournaments.
Officials/ Players (NEW FOR 2008):
Palmetto Region requires that while on officiating duty, no one is to have in
possession a cell phone, I-pod or song listening device, or food. This includes
R1 Up Ref, R2 Down Ref, Line Judges and especially, scorekeepers. First offense
will be a warning, 2nd offense will be loss of official certification, 3rd may
include sanction from tournament play.
All region tournaments will begin at 8:30am, unless otherwise posted. Gyms open at 8am, All teams must report to captains meeting at 8:15 in the event of schedule change.
FROM I-26: Take I-20 east towards Florence. Take the Two Notch Road exit (#74). Turn right on to Two Notch Road. Go 4.2 miles to Beltline Blvd.(the light where the Burger King is on your left and the McDonalds is on your right is Beltline). Turn left on to Beltline. Go 6/10th of a mile to Convenant Road light. FROM I-77: Take I-77 towards Columbia. Once you pass over the I-20 exit be on the look out for exit #15, Percival Road. Take the Percival Road exit. Take a right on to Percival Road. Go 1 mile to Decker Blvd. light (it will be the light with the Exxon Station on your right). Take a right on to Decker Blvd. Go 2 miles to Two Notch Road light (it will be the one with NBSC on your left and Pearle Vision Express on your right). Take a left on to Two Notch Road. Go 3.5 miles to Beltline Blvd. light (it will be the one with Burger King on your left and McDonalds on your right). Take a left on to Beltline Blvd. Go 6/10th of a mile to Covenant Road. FROM I-20: From below I-26 (traveling I-20 east bound) see I-26 directions above. If you will be coming I-20 west towards Columbia, you will take the Two Notch Road exit #74.
