PARENTS/COACHES: 
Palmetto Region has a NO-TOLERANCE policy on screaming, yelling, or making any derogatory remarks to ANY official ( Up ref, down ref, or line judges). Keep in mind.. they are human.. and most of the time they are kids. Penalty is immediate dismissal from gym, no warning. Region teams may face sanction to participate in future tournaments.  

Officials/ Players (NEW FOR 2008): 
Palmetto Region requires that while on officiating duty, no one is to have in possession a cell phone, I-pod or song listening device, or food. This includes R1 Up Ref, R2 Down Ref, Line Judges and especially, scorekeepers.  First offense will be a warning, 2nd offense will be loss of official certification, 3rd may include sanction from tournament play.   

All region tournaments will begin at 8:30am, unless otherwise posted. Gyms open at 8am, All teams must report to captains meeting at 8:15 in the event of schedule change.

Time Distance:  1 hour from I-85 & I-26 Spartanburg
Special Instructions:  No food or drinks allowed in gym.  Limited seating.
Restaurants:  Left out parking lot, go to 2nd light, turn right on Hwy. 178 and there will be a Hardees and Subs on the left approximately 1 mile down.

From Atlanta:

  • Take I-81 N. to Exit 21 (Hwy. 178).

  • Turn toward Liberty / Clemson.

  • Go to Hwy. 93 and turn left.

  • Liberty Middle School will be 1/2 mile on the right.

From Charleston / Columbia:

  • Take I-26 West to I-385 toward Greenville.

  • Take I-85 S to Exit 40, Hwy. 153 (Easley Exit).  There will be a Hardees at the exit.

  • Turn right and stay on Hwy. 153 approximately 4 miles.

  • Hwy. 153 circles into Hwy. 123 toward Easley.

  • Stay on Hwy. 123 through Easley.

  • Once you get on Hwy. 123, you will go about 2 miles and come to Hwy. 93 that bears off to the right toward Pickens.  Don't take this Hwy. 93 exit, be sure to continue on Hwy. 123.

  • You will cross over Hwy. 8 and 135.

  • Take the next exit to the right (Hwy. 93 to Liberty / Norris).

  • Stay on Hwy. 93 into Liberty (approximately 7 miles) and then Liberty Middle School will be on the right (past Revco).

From North Carolina:

  • Take I-26 East to I-85 S.

  • Take I-85 S. to Exit 40, Hwy. 153 (Easley Exit).   There will be a Hardees at the exit.

  • Turn right and stay on Hwy. 153 approximately 4 miles.

  • Hwy. 153 circles into Hwy. 123 toward Easley.

  • Stay on Hwy. 123 through Easley.

  • Once you get on Hwy. 123, you will go about 2 miles and come to Hwy. 93 that bears off to the right toward Pickens.  Don't take this Hwy. 93 exit, be sure to continue on Hwy. 123.

  • You will cross over Hwy. 8 and 135.

  • Take the next exit to the right (Hwy. 93 to Liberty / Norris).

  • Stay on Hwy. 93 into Liberty (approximately 7 miles) and then Liberty Middle School will be on the right (past Revco).
