(Cambridge Academy - Greenwood, SC)
PARENTS/COACHES:
Palmetto Region has a NO-TOLERANCE policy on screaming, yelling, or making any
derogatory remarks to ANY official ( Up ref, down ref, or line judges). Keep in
mind.. they are human.. and most of the time they are kids. Penalty is immediate
dismissal from gym, no warning. Region teams may face sanction to participate in
future tournaments.
Officials/ Players (NEW FOR 2008):
Palmetto Region requires that while on officiating duty, no one is to have in
possession a cell phone, I-pod or song listening device, or food. This includes
R1 Up Ref, R2 Down Ref, Line Judges and especially, scorekeepers. First offense
will be a warning, 2nd offense will be loss of official certification, 3rd may
include sanction from tournament play.
All region tournaments will begin at 8:30am, unless otherwise posted. Gyms open at 8am, All teams must report to captains meeting at 8:15 in the event of schedule change.

From Aiken / Augusta: Take Hwy 25 North, which will turn into 25/178. Go through downtown Greenwood. Turn left at the Holiday Inn onto 72/25/221 bypass. After passing Walmart and the Huddle House, take a right onto Calhoun Road at the light with the BP station on the right. Go approximately 1/4 mile and then turn right onto Eastman Street (the first right just past the YMCA). Cambridge Academy will be on the right.
From Athens: Take Hwy 72 East through Abbeville. After the Midway Driving Range, 72 turns into 25/72/221 bypass. Take a left onto Calhoun Road (the light with the BP station). Go approximately 1/4 mile and then turn right onto Eastman Street (the first right just past the YMCA). Cambridge Academy will be on the right.
From Columbia (south side of town): If you are coming from the south side of Columbia or from Lexington, you may want to take 378 through Saluda to 178. This meets up with Hwy 25 on the south side of Greenwood. Hwy 25 will turn into 25/178. Go through downtown Greenwood. Turn left at the Holiday Inn onto 72/25/221 bypass. After passing Walmart and the Huddle House, take a right onto Calhoun Road at the light with the BP station on the right. Go approximately 1/4 mile and then turn right onto Eastman Street (the first right just past the YMCA). Cambridge Academy will be on the right.
From Columbia / Charleston: Take 26 West to the Newberry / Hwy 219 Exit (#76). Go left towards Newberry, then take Hwy 34 and follow the Greenwood signs. Go through the town of "96" and once near Greenwood, continue on 34 until it meets up with 25/178 and go through town. Turn left at the Holiday Inn onto the 72/25/221 bypass. After passing Walmart and the Huddle House, take a right onto Calhoun Road at the light with the BP station on the right. Go approximately 1/4 mile and then turn right onto Eastman Street (the first right just past the YMCA). Cambridge Academy will be on the right.
From Greenville: Take Hwy 25 South. Pass the Bi-Lo on the left and then make a right at the next light onto Calhoun Road (Exxon on left). Go approximately 1 mile and then turn left onto Eastman Street just before the YMCA. Cambridge Academy will be on the right.
