PARENTS/COACHES: 
Palmetto Region has a NO-TOLERANCE policy on screaming, yelling, or making any derogatory remarks to ANY official ( Up ref, down ref, or line judges). Keep in mind.. they are human.. and most of the time they are kids. Penalty is immediate dismissal from gym, no warning. Region teams may face sanction to participate in future tournaments.  

Officials/ Players (NEW FOR 2008): 
Palmetto Region requires that while on officiating duty, no one is to have in possession a cell phone, I-pod or song listening device, or food. This includes R1 Up Ref, R2 Down Ref, Line Judges and especially, scorekeepers.  First offense will be a warning, 2nd offense will be loss of official certification, 3rd may include sanction from tournament play.   

All region tournaments will begin at 8:30am, unless otherwise posted. Gyms open at 8am, All teams must report to captains meeting at 8:15 in the event of schedule change.

LOCATION:  Hilton Head Middle School /  55 Wilborn Road /  (843-689-4500)

DIRECTIONS TO HILTON HEAD ISLAND:  Take I-95 to Exit 8 (Route 278).  Take Route 278 South approximately 20 miles to the island across the Intercoastal Waterway.  A few miles after crossing the Intercoastal, Route 278 splits into
William Hilton Parkway and the Cross Island Parkway (toll road).  At this split, STAY TO THE RIGHT.

DIRECTIONS TO ABOVE GYM LOCATION:  After the above split (last part of "Hilton Head Island" directions), turn left at the 2nd traffic light (Woodborn Road - - there will be a green sign on the right side of 278 for Hilton Head Schools).  Go a couple of hundred yards (past Hilton Head Elementary and High Schools on your left) to a school directly in front of you with a sign for Hilton Head Middle School.  Pull into the parking lot in front of the building and enter through the main entrance of the school.
