Junior Tournament Rules

If you have any questions or problems using the search page or have changes that need to be made, send us an email to office@palmettovb.com.  CHANGES must have emailed written confirmation back from region to release you from responsibility.  When there is a dispute or team is held responsible- you will be required to send the email from our region showing we received your email.

INFORMATION BEFORE YOU REGISTER

Late Fee of $20 will be charged for entries remitted within two weeks of tournament.  All entries are accepted based on first come, first serve with receipt of entry confirmation form and entry fee.

How to remit entries:

1-5 Team entries:  Print out the confirmation forms per entry and remit with payment.
6 or more Entries: You do NOT have to print each confirmation form. All we need is what you are paying for. To do this, you will do a search after you enter your teams by club or team, based on if you are remitting multiple teams or for just one team for multiple entries. Once you do the search and results come up in a table view, just copy it, paste it in a spreadsheet, print and remit.

If entering multiple teams from same club: 

Do a search by club here:
  Type in your club name, the report will bring up all your team entries, copy, paste into a spreadsheet and print out report, highlight the team entries you are remitting and write in the amount you are remitting per entry.

If entering same team but 6 or more tournaments, do the following:

In-Correct Entries:
If you made a mistake- email us with the correction. YOU MUST RECEIVE A RESPONSE FROM US TO AVOID BEING RESPONSIBLE.  (eg: If a team is entered in-correctly, you are responsible for this entry until corrected on our database. Make sure all your entries are correct. 
 - make sure to
search entries before remittal. Before you remit, make sure you know all the Tournament Rules- failure to read is not an excuse.

EG: If you have an in-correct entry, duplicate entry, entry still showing but you think you withdrawed- “anything” in our database- you are RESPONSIBLE, even if not paid – we assume you plan to attend and are held responsible until we hear from you AND you get a confirmed response back to us.

In order to find out where and when you play in tournaments, you need to know the following.  To determine WHERE you play, click on the search link. This is tentative- the MASTER will be the excel pool sheets, which are posted 1-2 weeks out from tournament date. These can be found on the detailed information link from the tournament schedule.

CHANGE OF DIVISIONS OR LEVELS AFTER ENTRY:

If you want to move into another level or age division, or the team age changes- you will have to apply with the date you request the change. In other words, you go to the back of the line for spot consideration.

TOURNAMENT RULES AND LATE FEES

PARENTS/COACHES:  Palmetto Region has a NO-TOLERANCE policy on screaming, yelling, or making any derogatory remarks to ANY official ( Up ref, down ref, or line judges). Keep in mind.. they are human.. and most of the time they are kids. Penalty is immediate dismissal from gym, no warning. Region teams may face sanctions to participate in future tournaments.

Late tournament Team Withdrawals:  (Southern Classic and Regional Championships have different deadlines)
(Less than 3 wks) Teams who withdraw inside three weeks will forfeit their entry fee. IF not paid, entry fee will be due.
(Less than 1 wk) Notification inside one week will result of forfeit of entry fee, plus $50 fine. 
(Less than 48 hrs) Teams must contact tournament host AND Region, teams will forfeit entry fee, plus $100 fine. 
(Within 18 hours or no show) Teams who call after Friday noon or fail to notify the tournament host  and region, or who fail to show up, will forfeit entry fee, be fined $150 and be placed on probation.

Out of Region Teams:  The above fines/sanctions will apply.  Teams who fail to adhere, the region will sanction the club to prevent any future region tournament participation.    If you play power (Upper divisions) within your region, you must enter Power division within the Palmetto Region.

PALMETTO REGION SCHEDULE-  all region tournaments will begin at 8:30am, unless otherwise posted. All teams must report at this time in the event of schedule change.

IF YOU SIGN UP- YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE - EVEN IF IT IS A MISTAKE- unless you notify us via phone or email. Must be by phone if inside two weeks.

Coaches must have two copies of your official printed USAV Rosters on hand at the tournament. Handwritten rosters are not acceptable. Your club director should provide you with the official rosters from the USAV database.
