Two waves- 8:30am start ( coaches meeting
8:15) and 1:30pm start (1:15 coaches meeting).
NO FOOD or
DRINKS INSIDE THE WALLS OF COURT AREA! Team point penalties if
found.
Modified Rules :
Tournament is for 12 and
under development teams.
Limit 3 serve rule: If 3 consecutive serves- we side out with no
point award. Prevents the ace server from running off 25
points.
Serve In Rule: Players are
allowed to move in on the court in order to make a successful
serve.
Unlimited Sub: Players may
come in and out as desired.
Relaxed Rules: We will relax
rules and calls to encourage play.
All Win: Everyone gets prizes
at the end.
OFFICIALS:
Interested in
officiating for the Palmetto Region -
send us an email! All region tournaments will be officiated by
teams, unless otherwise posted. We expect the COACH to up
officiate.
OFFICIATING REQUIREMENTS:
Palmetto Region requires that while on officiating duty, no one
is to have in possession a cell phone, I-pod or song listening
device, or food. This includes R1 Up Ref, R2 Down Ref, Line
Judges and especially, scorekeepers. First offense will be a
warning, 2nd offense will be loss of official certification, 3rd
may include sanction from tournament play.
PARENTS/COACHES:
Palmetto Region has a NO-TOLERANCE policy on screaming, yelling,
or making any derogatory remarks to ANY official ( Up ref, down
ref, or line judges). Keep in mind.. they are human.. and most
of the time they are kids. Penalty is immediate dismissal from
gym, no warning. Region teams may face sanction to participate
in future tournaments.
Please take a minute and complete the
tournament evaluation form AFTER you play
in a tournament. The feedback that the region receives will be used when
planning future tournaments.

Late tournament Team Withdrawal Information
[
Teams must request withdrawal in WRITING and save the written
response from Region to be eligible for refund. If you do not
get a response within 48 hrs of sending your request- call
region. ]

Teams who withdraw inside three weeks will forfeit their
entry fee. |

Less than 1 wk |
Notification inside one week will result of forfeit of
entry fee, plus $50 fine. Contact both Region and Host
[by phone- must talk to someone].

Less than 48 hrs |
Teams must contact tournament Host AND Region[by
phone- must talk to someone].
Teams
will forfeit entry fee, plus $100 fine. |

Within 18 hours or no show |
Teams who call after Friday noon or fail to notify the
tournament host AND region by phone AND email, or who
fail to show up, will forfeit entry fee, be fined $150
and be placed on probation. |

Confirm withdrawal |
Teams requesting withdrawal must have a written email
confirmation from region in order to avoid fines or
entry fee. We must be able to prove you notify us,
otherwise you are responsible. |
All
Withdrawals must be handled in writing to the
region office. If
inside two weeks, contact the host and copy the region (contact
info on specific tournament page). To qualify for a
refund, you must have an email from region confirming your
withdrawal.
Out of Region Teams:
Must abide by same rules. Clubs who withdraw late and fail to
submit to guidelines outlined above will be placed on sanction
list and no teams from your club will be allowed to participate
in future region tournaments until late fee is settled. If
you play power (gold/Silver) within your region, you must enter
Power division within the Palmetto Region.
Team Late Fee of $20 will
be charged for entries remitted within two weeks of tournament.
All region
tournaments will begin at 8:30am, unless otherwise posted. Gyms
open at 8am, All teams must report to captains meeting at 8:15
in the event of schedule change.

1) I-85 S to Exit 54 (Pelham Rd)
2) right on Pelham Rd- go 1 mile and turn
right on Boiling Springs Rd (at Grace Church)
3) Go 2 miles on Boiling Springs Rd , it
will dead end into Old Spartanburg Hwy, turn LEFT
4) Go .04 miles on Old Sptbg Hwy, turn left
onto Bushy Creek Rd ( at Grace Baptist Church).
5) Go .05 miles turn left onto Scotts Wood
Rd ( past Greenville Country Rec Administrative Office) (across
from La Petite).
6) Pavilion is first left.
To Pavilion From Columbia :
1) I-26 West toward upstate, take I-385
past Clinton toward Greenville.
2) Stay on I-385 toward Greenville, once
you go over I-85, you will go 1 mile to Heywood Rd (exit 39)-
turn right on Heywood Rd.
3) Go 1.3 miles on Heywood to E. North St-
( at BP Station and Palmetto Bank) Turn right onto E. North St.
4) Go 1.8 miles on E. North- turn right
onto Scotts Wood Rd- ( Before Grvl County Rec Administrative
Office and across from La-Petite)
5) Pavilion is on left.
To Pavilion from Atlanta:
I-85 North to I-385 North toward
Greenville. Follow directions above from Columbia at #2.
To Pavilion from NC:
I-26W to I-85 South, follow directions from
Spartanburg at #1.
