TOURNAMENT SPECIFIC INFORMATION PAGE
OFFICIALS:
Interested in
officiating for the Palmetto Region- contact
Amber Glass. All region tournaments will be officiated by
teams, unless otherwise posted. We expect the COACH to up
officiate.
Officials/ Players (NEW FOR 2008):
Palmetto Region requires that while on officiating duty, no one
is to have in possession a cell phone, I-pod or song listening
device, or food. This includes R1 Up Ref, R2 Down Ref, Line
Judges and especially, scorekeepers. First offense will be a
warning, 2nd offense will be loss of official certification, 3rd
may include sanction from tournament play.
PARENTS/COACHES:
Palmetto Region has a NO-TOLERANCE policy on screaming, yelling,
or making any derogatory remarks to ANY official ( Up ref, down
ref, or line judges). Keep in mind.. they are human.. and most
of the time they are kids. Penalty is immediate dismissal from
gym, no warning. Region teams may face sanction to participate
in future tournaments.

Late tournament Team Withdrawal Information

Less than 3 wks |
Teams who withdraw inside three weeks will forfeit their
entry fee. |

Less than 1 wk |
Notification inside one week will result of forfeit of
entry fee, plus $50 fine. Contact both Region and Host
[by phone- must talk to someone].

Less than 48 hrs |
Teams must contact tournament Host AND Region[by
phone- must talk to someone].
Teams
will forfeit entry fee, plus $100 fine. |

Within 18 hours or no show |
Teams who call after Friday noon or fail to notify the
tournament host AND region by phone AND email, or who
fail to show up, will forfeit entry fee, be fined $150
and be placed on probation. |
All
Withdrawals must be handled in writing to the
region office. If
inside two weeks, contact the host and copy the region (contact
info on specific tournament page).
Out of Region Teams:
Must abide by same rules. Clubs who withdraw late and fail to
submit to guidelines outlined above will be placed on sanction
list and no teams from your club will be allowed to participate
in future region tournaments until late fee is settled. If
you play power (gold/Silver) within your region, you must enter
Power division within the Palmetto Region.
Team Late Fee of $20 will
be charged for entries remitted within two weeks of tournament.
It is
the responsibility of the team/club to verify we have you
registered in the correct tournament. Check each tournament
page (or search by
team search options)
after you register to verify you have entered correct tournament
date and information. [ TEAMS
ARE HELD RESPONSIBLE FOR FEES and/or FINES EVEN IF YOU ENTER IN
ERROR. It is the teams responsibility to check entries for your
team/club and notify us if error in entries. ]
All region
tournaments will begin at 8:30am, unless otherwise posted. Gyms
open at 8am, All teams must report to captains meeting at 8:15
in the event of schedule change.
